Get To Know Me

My Background

I am a veteran teacher with Hillsborough County Schools down here in sunny Florida. My favorite place to be, is at the beach with my family.

In March of 2020, teachers were forced to very quickly adapt and adjust our teaching methods, to include techniques and strategies that would work for students through remote methods, we had about two weeks to master CANVAS. When this happened, I found my niche in education! I was able to use a storyboard of sorts to create course content online that was meaningful, engaging and supported my learners with disabilities. I LOVED every second of relationship building in the eLearning environment, it was so easy to talk to stakeholders (parents) when I "saw" them on a regular basis. I have become an expert at helping people of all ages grasp difficult concepts by making them more relatable. During my 10 years teaching, I have enjoyed many opportunities to design and create content that is more engaging, maybe explains a difficult concept to parents, and/or helps a teacher understand some learners better. With the pandemic, for the first time, I was beginning to feel like I could use my skills in a different capacity.

With that I decided that it was time to take my career in a different direction. I am excited to embark on a career where I can continue to learn to use the technology I've learned, help people grasp difficult concepts, build relationships, and grow as a designer, data analyst, researcher, or a relationship expert that helps organizations harness the power of process improvement!
